ZIMBABWE FMD

FOOT and Mouth Disease has broken out in Zimbabwe's Mashonaland East province, an area of the country free of FMD since 1989 and from where farms have been allowed to export their beef. The Organisation International des Épizooties has reported 485 cases. Illegal cattle movements from provinces where the disease is constantly present have been blamed.
