WTO TRADE FACILITATION DEAL WELCOMED BY EUROPEAN PUBLISHERS

THE FEDERATION of European Publishers (FEP) has welcomed this weekend’s World Trade Organisation (WTO) deal on reducing import-export red tape.Speaking to The Bookseller, FEP deputy director Enrico Turrin told the Bookseller: “It can only help. Anything that helps remove barriers will facilitate trade.” He noted that his organisation had recently helped Spanish publishers facing problems getting their books into the Argentine market because of bureaucratic barriers imposed by the government of Argentina.
