WTO – DOHA

COTTON has been included in a draft framework agreement for the World Trade Organisation's (WTO) Doha Development Round, that the WTO general council has been asked to approve by July 30. It includes the elimination of export subsidies, improved market access and a cap on domestic production subsidies for cotton production, with developing countries enjoying special exemptions.
