WESTERN ENGLAND’S BRISTOL AIRPORT PLOTS MAJOR EXPANSION

BY MARK ROWE, IN BRISTOL BRISTOL Airport, the largest in the south-west of the UK, plans to expand its annual passenger numbers from 6 million to 9 million by 2015. At the heart of the development is a 30-point plan, which includes reconfiguring the terminal building, with an extension to the east (6,700 square metres) and west (3,600 square metres) of the existing terminal to just over double its current overall floor area.
