THE LEADERS of the Group of Eight (G8) nations are meeting in the Hokkaido, Japan, town of Toyako (NOTE: Spelling is correct - NOT Tokyo) July 7-9, with the environment and energy top of the agenda. Given Hokkaido is sufficiently unspoiled to host bears and eagles, BBC Wildlife asked local people and experts how important are renewable energy sources in fighting climate change?
