VITAS WELCOMES PROPOSED INDUSTRIAL ZONES NEEDED TO ADVANCE VIETNAM TEXTILE INDUSTRY

The Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) has told WTiN that it strongly supports a proposal from Vietnam’s ministry of industry and trade to develop large textile industrial zones to attract investment for fabric and yarn production, as well as dyeing. The proposed zones, which government statements have indicated would be 500 to 1,000 hectares in size, will attract investment from both local and foreign textile companies.
