VAT ON EU ONLINE SALES TO BE PAID AT DESTINATION TO BEAT FRAUD

The European Commission has come forward with proposals to revamp the European Union’s (EU) value-added tax (VAT) system for online sales that notably would ensure sales tax is paid in the destination country.  Having sales tax paid in the destination country was a key demand in a November European Parliament resolution aimed at tackling VAT fraud.
