USA PROFESSOR SAYS COAL-TO-OIL TECHNOLOGY WILL BECOME PROFITABLE

OIL is an infinite resource that will "never" run out thanks in part to the reintroduction of coal according to Professor Eric Cheney, a University of Washington economic geologist presenting a speech at the Geological Society of America's annual meeting. "Mineral resources are vitally important to our industrial and service economy," he said, stressing that oil once too costly to extract from coal is now worth manufacturing.
