USA IMPOSES PRELIMINARY ANTI-DUMPING DUTIES ON CHINA-MADE STEEL WHEELS

THE USA department of commerce (DoC) has announced it will impose preliminary anti-dumping duties of 37.65% and 43.73% on imports of China-made steel wheels with a diameter of 12 to 16.5 inches in diameter. The DoC said it would now instruct the US Customs and Border Protection agency to collect this money as a deposit from importers. It will be refunded if final assessments conclude these exports have not been dumped on the US market. If, as usually happens in such cases, the duties are confirmed, the duties will be banked by the US government.
