USA CALLS FOR CREATION OF GLOBAL PNR STANDARD BY THE END OF 2019

THE USA’S coordinator for counterterrorism, Ambassador Nathan A Sales has called at an International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) high level conference on aviation security for the approval by the end of 2019 of an global standard on using passenger name record (PNR) systems. Speaking at ICAO’s headquarters in Montréal, today (November 30), Sales said this should be written into Annex 9 and/or Annex 17 of the Chicago Convention, civil aviation’s global rule book.
