US TRUCK EXPORTS DUTIES NOW LIKELY AS TRUMP IMPOSES METAL DUTIES

THE EUROPEAN Union (EU) has moved ahead with its plans to impose temporary safeguard duties on imports into the EU of USA-made trucks, as a reaction to the levying of American import duties on aluminium and steel imports, announced today (May 31).
The EU executive, the European Commission, has published a regulation that will authorise these duties by June 16, after they have been approved by the EU trade barriers committee.
