BY KEITH NUTHALLTHE UNITED States Farm Bill, which has passed through the US Congress, will not only potentially depress meat prices by boosting subsidies to American farmers, but also introduce mandatory rules of origin for meat products for the first time.These labelling requirements will be voluntary for two years and obligatory from September 2004.
