THE UNITED States, the European Union (EU) and Japan will press ahead with a World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute complaint against Argentina’s use of import licenses and other measures to restrict auto and auto part imports, despite Argentina’s claims that the restrictions have now been removed.The WTO agreed on January 28 to a request from Washington, Brussels and Tokyo for the establishment of a disputes panel to rule whether the Argentina’s restrictions violate global trade rules. The three are targeting Argentina’s decision to subject imports to ...
