US DELAYS EXPANDED RETALIATORY HORMONE BEEF SANCTIONS

THE IMPLEMENTATION of new retaliatory USA tariffs against European Union (EU) food exports such as a 300% duty on French cheese Roquefort has been delayed one month from March 23 to April 23, the US Trade Representative (USTR) office has announced. This follows progress in negotiations with the European Commission on the EU's hormone-treated beef ban.
