Fast Retailing Co. has described media reports that it has committed to opening 100 Uniqlo stores across India as "premature and optimistic".In a statement released to just-style, the company said: "Uniqlo has no concrete plans for India, although we can confirm that our CEO met with the prime minister of India, both in India and during his visit to Japan."Those meetings, between Uniqlo chairman Tadashi Yanai and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sparked speculation that the Japanese clothing giant was about to launch the largest-ever foreign direct investment ...
