UNFOR GM CANADA WORKERS OVERWHELMINGLY BACK NEW THREE-YEAR CONTRACT

Union members at Canada’s Unifor have ratified the agreement struck on Monday (Oct 9) with General Motors Canada (GM). The detailed deal was circulated to 4,300 autoworkers at Unifor locals 222, 199 and 636 in Oshawa, St Catharines and Woodstock, Ontario, at 6am Saturday morning, with balloting staged over the weekend (1).
