UNEP REPORTS SAY METAL RECYCLING RATES TOO LOW

The report 'Metals in Society' examines the amount of individual metals present in society, and the potential for using the in-use stock to offset demand from virgin metal stocks. Its authors found the largest global per head of population (per capita) stock of in-use metals is iron at 2,200 kg, followed by aluminium at 80 kg, copper at 35-55 kg and lead at 8 kg. And ...
