UK SMEs TAKE GBP8 BILLON FRAUD HIT

Company fraud has cost UK small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) nearly GBP8 billion (USD12.35 billion) during their lifetimes, according to research by global information services company Experian.Its survey of 508 senior decision makers found 13% (almost 286,000) of UK SMEs had been defrauded; 27% of SMEs with more than nine employees; and 11% per cent of micro businesses, with fewer staff.
