US poultry companies, including Tyson Foods, Cobb-Vantress, Peterson Farms, Simmons Foods, Cargill, and George's, have ordered their chicken suppliers in Arkansas to stop spreading chicken litter on fields, following a water-pollution case. The waste allegedly helped foul water in the state's northwest region. The companies will withhold chicks from farms that do not comply.
