TWO WHISTLEBLOWERS GET USD54 MILLION FROM SEC

The United States Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) has awarded a combined USD54 million to two whistleblowers “whose critical information and continued assistance helped the agency bring an important enforcement action.”   One received a USD39 million payout – the second biggest award ever under the SEC whistleblower program, the other received USD15 million for information on the same case.  But the SEC rejected another claim related to the case, which it has not identified.
