TRUMP’S LATEST DUTIES ON CHINESE EXPORTS SPARK MIXED RESPONSE FROM AMERICAN CLOTHING AMD TEXTILE INDUSTRY

THE USA and China textile sectors will be assessing the potential impact of the announcement by US President Donald Trump that another set of tariffs will be imposed on Chinese exports – of 10%, levied from September 1.
These duties, while at a lower level than the 25% rates that have already been charged on a wide range of Chinese goods, are noteworthy in that they cover a wide range of clothing and apparel products.
