Thanks to the introduction of a tax incentive scheme launched by the government of Trinidad & Tobago, auto converters and dealers in the country are increasingly talking up Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a clean auto fuel for vehicles on the twin island Caribbean state. Fuel subsidies for super gasoline and diesel are being cut – the current choice of most of the country’s 1.3 million citizens – and the move is accompanied by a drive to persuade people to switch to CNG.
