MALE or female, people seeking medical attention in Britain are entitled to the same level of nursing, no matter what their gender - but what about those caught in between? For some Britons identifying as transgendered (someone who expresses themselves in a different gender to the one they were assigned at birth - either through their attire or name change) or transsexual (someone who has undergone a permanent, surgical gender change), a 'regular' visit to hospital or clinic can come with its complications.
