TRAFFIC LAW ENFORCEMENT

BY KEITH NUTHALLA KEY European Parliament committee has called on the European Commission to develop legislation enabling European Union (EU) police and courts to deal with traffic offences committed by a haulier in a foreign EU state. This would involve law enforcement officials investigating and prosecuting their offences, plus enforcing fines and other punishments meted out in another country.
