BY KEITH NUTHALLA EUROPEAN Commission proposal to establish a European Union (EU)-wide electronic road toll system has been attacked by the European Parliament's transport committee, which has claimed that Brussels' planned introduction deadlines are "too ambitious." The Commission wants an interoperable tolling system in place for lorries, buses and coaches by 2005 and 2010 for cars.
