BY KEITH NUTHALLEUROPEAN Parliamentarians have attacked widespread confiscations at European Union (EU) airports of duty-free alcohol from transit passengers over new anti-terrorist rules. Regulations say intra-EU flight passengers can only carry onboard liquids up to 100 millilitres, in sealed transparent plastic bags. But the rules do not cover drinks bought duty-free outside the EU, causing problems for passengers transiting home via EU airports rather than flying direct.
