THE EUROPEAN Commission has granted clearance, under the EU's merger regulation, to the acquisition of full control by Questor Partners Bermuda, L.P., of the aluminium business of Italy's Teksid S.p.A., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Italian auto giant Fiat. Brussels decided that there were no serious competition problems with the deal and approved it under its simplified merger review procedure.
