TECHNOLOGIES TRANSFORM WASTED MILK INTO DRESSES AND UNDERWEAR

IT has now been six years since the German entrepreneur Anke Domaske has been turning waste cow milk into dresses. Her business, QMILK, is based on manufacturing textile fibre from milk protein, casein, transforming raw milk that while not suitable for human consumption, is also "100% natural and from verified suppliers." Domaske told Twist International that her company’s fibre manufacturing process was slick and quick: "To produce it we only need five minutes, around two litres of water and an 80C temperature for 1kg of textile," the CEO of the company.
