TALISMAN Energy's oil production facilities in southern Sudan have been attacked by armed rebels from the Sudan People's Liberation Army, forcing the Calgary-based company to temporarily suspend work at the site. The company said there were no injuries to staff or security personnel and nor was the operation centre seriously damaged, contrary to reports from the rebels. They had previously targeted a pipeline, which carries oil from the Heglig oilfield to Port Sudan.
