TAIWAN’S sportswear and functional textile exports are to be boosted by the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in August this year, according to a forecast by the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER). The think tank has observed that demand for sportswear and functional textiles remained strong, even while orders for other textile categories were being cut.
