SWEDISH PUBLIC PROCUREMENT BOOSTING DEMAND FOR SWEDEN-PRODUCED MEAT

SWEDISH public institutions have been buying substantial and growing amounts of Sweden-made meat between 2012 to 2016 and this trend is projected to continue, a survey has said.
The share of Sweden-produced product of meat bought by Swedish local authorities for schools and other services increased to 42.6% to Swedish Krona SEK3.4 billion (USD379 million) in 2016 from 33.2% in 2012, the Federation of Swedish Farmers (Lantbrukarnas Riksförbund - LRF) agribusiness developer Pirjo Gustafsson told GlobalMeatNews, quoting from a latest LRF survey.
