SURVEY REPORTS CYBER CRIME ONE OF THE TOP THREATS FOR FINANCIAL SECTOR

BY LEAH GERMAIN LAST year (2011) cybercrime represented 38% of all economic crime in the global financial sector, reports the latest study from England's PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The report, Fighting Economic Crime in the Financial Services Sector, released on March 27, also details cybercrime accounted for 16% of economic crime in other industries. Data analysed was taken from 878 respondents from 78 countries.
