SPECIAL EU NANOMATERIAL REGISTER REQUESTED

A CALL has been made for creating a specific nanomaterials register under the European Union's (EU) REACH chemical control system. It comes from the EU's current Belgian presidency. "Nanomaterials are increasingly present in consumer products and everyday items," noted Belgium environment minister Paul Magnette, speaking at a Brussels seminar on the issue.
