SOUTH KOREA’S CJ CHEILJEDANG ANNOUNCES MASSIVE EXPANSION PLANS

CJ CHEILJEDANG Corp, South Korea’s leading maker of processed foods, in a Korea Exchange (KRX) filing on June 12th announced KRW541 billion (USD479.3 million) investment into the construction of a processed food production facility in Jincheon County in central South Korea. According to the filing, construction will begin in August for completion in October 2020 with an eventual production capacity of 120,000 tons per year, which would make it the largest processed food factory in the country.
