Energy ministers of smaller European Union (EU) countries said yesterday (Tuesday March 4) that they will not sacrifice the competitiveness of energy intensive industries such as steel-making when meeting proposed EU 2030 carbon emission targets. “Slovakia supports the aim of a single target for greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction,” said Dušan Petrík, state secretary in the country’s ministry of economy.
