BY ALAN OSBORNNEW rules for slot allocation at EU airports may be on the way following a vote by the European Parliament to approve a European Commission proposal to open up the system of landing and take-off rights to new air carriers. The legislation seeks to introduce "transparent, non-discriminating allocation of slots to all operators on the basis of objective criteria."
