SLEEMAN SUES DEAD FROG BREWERY OVER CLEAR GLASS TRADEMARK BOTTLE ISSUE

BY MONICA DOBIE CANADA'S third largest brewer, Sleeman Breweries Ltd, is suing British Columbian microbrewer Dead Frog Brewery for illegally using a clear bottle design that infringes on the Sleeman trademark. The Dead Frog Brewery is fighting the suit claiming that Sleeman does not own the right to package beer in clear bottles and that the logos imprinted on the bottles are different.
