SHANGHAI HELIPORT TO BE OPENED AT AVIATION HERITAGE SITE

THE FIRST helicopter airport in Shanghai will be opened by 2019 at the former Longhua Airport in the city’s Xuhui district by early 2019. The Longhua Helicopter Airport will cover 30,000 square metres, with aprons and hangers for 21 helicopters. It will include terminal buildings, an air traffic control tower and helicopter maintenance facilities, said Zhou Ming, the general manager at Longhua, currently a heritage site.
