SEPERATIST BEER

BY MONICA DOBIEA TABLOID newspaper devoted to promoting Quebec's separation from Canada will launch a beer to help the publication stay afloat financially. The 6.2% alcohol beer is called La Militante, meaning activist, and will be brewed and sold in Quebec with profits going to Le Quebecois newspaper. Initially, the beer will only be served at one bar in Quebec City and at the beer's microbrewery producer La Barberie but Le Quebecois' publisher hopes it will receive wider distribution next year.
