MALAYSIA’S new Employment Insurance System (EIS) has been greeted by local HR professionals as a welcome tool to retain senior talent in organisations as the government tries to shift the country’s focus towards a more vibrant employment economy.
The EIS Bill 2017, implemented by the country’s parliament, the Dewan Rakyat, on October 26, seeks to provide retrenched workers with temporary financial assistance and appropriate job training that will help them return to work.
