Concerns about security and energy costs in Mexico could cost its clothing and textile industry a golden opportunity to seize nearshoring business in the United States, business experts are warning. This comes as Mexico manufacturers, especially those located near the American border, are looking to exploit benefits from the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) which was negotiated in 2018, as US trades with China continue to be impeded by tariffs.
