THE PRACTICE of generals and colonels playing war games to simulate an attack on an enemy is well known - but Internet game playing is now being introduced into medical training via the Second Life virtual world.
Imperial College London has started using the popular web system - where people live their lives through digital representations of themselves called avatars - for teaching medical students.
