BY KEITH NUTHALLTHE EUROPEAN Parliament (EP) is expected early next month to approve the creation of a special investigative committee tasked with improving maritime safety standards. The parliament's Conference of Presidents (a committee of party leaders and top officials) will propose the creation of the temporary committee, at the EP's next plenary session - on November 5 and 6.
