SAUDI Arabia may be admitted to the World Trade Organisation before the end of this year, its director general Supachai Panitchpakdi has predicted, opening its economy to foreign goods and services via the WTO's GATT and GATS agreements. DG Supachai said accession would "support Saudi Arabia's efforts to invigorate its private sector, diversify its economy and provide more jobs."
