SAUDI Arabia's paint sector is expanding vigorously - it is expected to grow by up to 10% this year on the back of high oil prices spurring on consumer spending, and a multi-billion dollar construction boom.
"There is more than 10% growth in construction. Paint is following this average, perhaps a little less as paint is the finishing project. I believe growth is between 5% and 10%," said Reda Zangui, marketing manager for Sigma Paints Saudi Arabia, part of Holland's SigmaKalon group.
