SARDINIA LOAN

EURO 100 million is being lent to the regional government of Sardinia, Italy, by the European Investment Bank (EIB), with the money being earmarked for capital schemes in water management, renewable energy and environmental monitoring, (plus afforestation and private sector projects). The bank said a follow up loan of another Euro 100 million was also planned.
