BY RICHARD HURSTTRADE and Investment South Africa Transport Industries - a Pretoria government unit - and the country's Department of Trade and Industry have announced that they will jointly launch a council to seek export opportunities in the railway equipment market, notably crushed stone ballast.This processed igneous rock would be used for the laying of railway tracks, together with timber or concrete sleepers, which would also be sold from South Africa.
