The Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry, together with some of the country’s leading textile producers have called on Russia’s President Vladimir Putin to suspend the fulfilment of some Russia’s World Trade Organisation (WTO) obligations affecting the textile industry.Russian joined the WTO in August 2012 and this has never been popular with some textile producers.
