RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT TO PROVIDE USD30 MILLION SUPPORT TO DOMESTIC TEXTILE INDUSTRY THIS YEAR

The Russian government has now approved its proposed programme of state support for Russia’s textile manufacturing industry, covering the current financial year, as it seeks to protect the industry against foreign competition. The volume of support has been set by the ministry of industry and trade at Russian Roubles RUB2 billion (USD30 million). It has been authorised under an existing government policy, known as the ‘Strategy of development of textile and light industry in the Russian Federation for the period till 2025”.
