RUSSIA IMPOSE PUBLIC PROCUREMENT BAN ON WESTERN TEXTILE IMPORTS

The Russian government had ordered that public procurement from overseas of textiles, knitwear, non-wovens and some clothing should cease from September 1, as it tightens the screws on imports following the imposition of western sanctions over the Ukraine crisis.Government documents obtained by WTiN.com show that Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev made the order on August 11.
